My name is Charlie Cowan and I’m a second year junior (credits-wise) here at NDSU. I went to high school at Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MN, close to my hometown of Shorewood, MN. I transferred from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs after my freshman year. I chose NDSU because I am closer to home and enjoying my sport management program here as well. I’m taking this class because it is required for my major and I’ve been interested in different writing styles and how those correspond with one another. My major is Sport Management and I want to work in Communications or PR in a professional sports organization. In my experience, the proper way of eating a PB&J sandwich is slightly more jelly than peanut butter. I can offer a hard working attitude and a commitment to do the best that I can. I’m hoping to gain different perspectives on writing styles and what I can work on better to prepare myself. My least favorite movie would be Hitting The Curve with Clint Eastwood. It wasn’t a very good baseball movie. I ask that my instructors please help me answer my questions and reply via email or in-person.

When: They were introduced in early February, but have been a problem as of late. Where: Ontario, a province in Canada. Why: When a light is shined on the license plates, they are virtually unreadable at night. How: The Canadian government didn’t think about the consequences of how light would reflect off of the plate. So What? This makes it hard for police and other cars to identify license plates in the dark. What’s Next? If there is enough feedback, Ontario government will look into revamping and reconstructing the license plates.
